Hotel description

Our family business "Panorama" with the traditional restaurant, rooms and studio flats, is located above Askifou, a village in the mountains of Sfakia.
The village Askifou is about 50 km from Chania on a plateau with 800 meters altitude and inhabited throughout the year. The plateau is surrounded by the White Mountains (Lefka Ori). A relic of the battles between the locals and the Turks is the small fortress still standing at the top of the hill northeast of the plateau.
In our restaurant we are offering traditional Sfakian and Cretan dishes (honoured 2007-08 and 2008-09 by "Gourmet").
All rooms and studios are equipped with central heating and available throughout the year.

The restaurant was honoured by the "Gourmet" (2007-2008, 2008-2009).
Enjoy our specialities:
Pilafi, a traditional wedding dish on Crete with rice and cooked meat
Goat tsigariasto, in olive oil scorched
Lamb with stamnangathi, a local vegetable
Sigglino, smoked pig without bones
Sfakian pita, filled with fresh cheese
Kokora Krassato, chicken stew in red wine souce
Staka, a particularly tasty butter sauce, which is served to egg, omellet, meat or salad

Cancellations till 2days prior to arrival, no fees. Cancellations within 2 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total cost (deposit) will be charged as cancellation fees. You may change dates without loosing the deposit as long as the room is available
