Hotel description

VENETO, an old Venetian 14th century manor house, is located in the heart of the Old Town of Rethymno, just a 3-minute walking distance from the commercial area, the museums, the beach and the numerous cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.

We have restored it with respect to the character and architecture of the building, and have created six studios and four suites, ready to take you to the charm of yesterday and offer you the comforts of today.

In the common areas of the ground floor, there is one of the most beautiful and famous restaurants on the island, open most of the year.

In our stone-built winecellar you can find some of the most carefully selected wines from the Cretan, Greek and national vineries.

Location

Rethymno, the prettiest and friendliest town of Crete, is situated in the centre of the north coast of the island. The town is flanked by impressive hills and high mountains combined with a coastline of sandy beach unique in beauty, as well as many other sites.

Distance from airport : 80 km from Heraklion Airport and 65 km from Chania Airport
Distance from the beach : 300 m, on foot through the Old Venetian Town
Distance from the south coast of Crete : 45 min. by car (40 km)

Food & Beverages

At the ground floor and garden of the hotel, you can enjoy Cretan, Greek and creative tastes in one of the most well known restaurants of Crete. The owner, who is a member of the Wine and Taste Academy, is responsible for the organisation of the restaurant.

We have meticulously chosen products from the Greek and particularly the Cretan nature in order to offer them to our exquisite clientele satisfying their gastronomic desires, in a place whose 700 years of history will take you, even for just few hours, to another dimension full of scents, images of the past, to an uplift of senses.
