For quality service and facilities, this seafront hotel, 4 km east of town, Grand Kaptan is one of the biggest in Alanya. It's frequented by international tour groups as well as visiting Turkish executives, and the main restaurant is geared toward large numbers of people. The outdoor pool is large and has a swim-up bar. A tunnel takes visitors under the highway to a beach where a barbecue restaurant operates in the summer. The beach lacks natural shade, but there are plenty of beach and water sports to occupy guests, from volleyball to jet skiing, windsurfing, and waterskiing. The rooms are a bit gloomy, and a few that don't have private bath. A shuttle operates between the hotel and the town center six times a day.
