Closer still are a selection of shops and taverns, water sports, 5x5 football, horse riding, mini golf as well as the bus stop for the frequent service between Chania and Kastelli, which makes Kato Daratso an ideal base for exploring.

For your stay here in Althea, you may choose between comfortable Hotel rooms or suites decorated in traditional style, each has its own private terrace or balcony, bathroom with half bath or shower, air-conditioning, fridge, satellite TV, telephone and safe.

Tasteful self catering studios and two room apartments designed to meet all your expectations decorated in a bright modern style with the same facilities as the Hotel rooms plus a small kitchenette to the side of the living room so that simple meals can be prepared allowing guests more freedom to cater for themselves.

Each apartment has at least one balcony or terrace. From your balcony you can enjoy the wonderful deep blue of the Aegean, and the clean evening air or take a relaxing walk in the perfumed gardens of Althea Village.

In our traditional taverna “Aktaion” you have the opportunity to taste authentic Cretan cuisine, made from fresh Mediterranean produce, known for its nutritious qualities. Τhe poolside snack bar “Elia“ provides the perfect setting for relaxing and enjoying a refreshing drink or snack in the shade of an ancient olive tree.
